Installation

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

IP.Tree installation is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. When you install the program, you will be prompted to choose a folder for the programs, and one for the data. You may accept the proposed folders to ensure full compatibility; however, if you know what you are doing, you may change both folders to whatever you want (and have access to).

Take note of the folder name where you install the data - you will need it later if you want to backup it.

The program is installed with sample data. Once you experimented with it, you may delete it from inside the program (using the update buttons) or you may delete the files at the data folder, erasing all the data at once, and the files will be recreated empty.

This program is not free. You can test it without imitations for 15 days, but later you will need to purchase a license to continue its use.

You will need to purchase one license per machine where the program will run concurrently. You can purchase the program in the following link:

You will receive your key (a long series of letters and numbers) by e-mail, in the body and in an attached file. You can select the file with the "..." button, or you can "copy" the data into the clipboard, and "paste" it all at once using the "Paste Data From Clipboard" button. Or you can even enter it manually (who would like to do that?). If you did a mistake you may press the "Clear Fields" button to empty all the fields.

Once you enter your name and its associated key, you press the "Register" button and you will receive a confirmation stating if your program was registered.

If your program already expired, you will be prompted to enter the name and code directly from a window presented before enter the program. If you don't enter the key, yon won't be able to use the program at all.
